Inside Athena: The “True Asset” C.N.A. at The Summit At Plantsville
PLANTSVILLE, C.T. — C.N.A. Sherri Miron at The Summit At Plantsville has been helping residents and supporting the nursing staff at the Connecticut facility for nearly 40 years.
In her role has a unit secretary, she assists with medical records, filing paperwork, making and going to doctor appointments with residents, and much more. She said the day is never the same. When asked why she’s stayed for 38 years, her answer is simple.
“I like my job,” she said.
And the team likes having her. Director of Nursing Gail Moutinho described Miron as a “true asset” to the center.
“Sherri is an excellent resource to Athena, she keeps The Summit organized at all times,” she said.
Miron notes the teamwork and management at the center have been the reason she’s stayed around for so many decades. The staff have supported her in her personal and professional life. The Summit at Plantsville has a very attentive workforce, she said.
