The Summit At Plantsville Celebrates 207 Combined Years of Service Within Nursing Department

PLANTSVILLE, C.T. — May 6 through May 12 celebrates National Nurses Week! The Summit At Plantsville holds a combined years of service of 207 years within their nursing department.

The nursing department demonstrates unwavering commitment and expertise in delivering personalized care that enhances the well-being and quality of life of our residents and their families.

The dedicated nursing team at The Summit At Plantsville embodies values of compassion, professionalism, and excellence in care. This week we honor our nurses who are making meaningful differences in their communities.

The Summit At Plantsville, located in the village of Plantsville in Southington, is a 150-bed facility offering short-term rehabilitation therapy, long-term care, respite, and hospice services. Daily recreational programming, nutritious meals, and housekeeping provide social and emotional wellness while taking away the stressors of daily life. This year, Athena Health Care Systems, the management company of The Summit At Plantsville, is notably celebrating 40 years of nursing home management.

This week, during National Nurses Week, we extend our gratitude to our extraordinary nurses who selflessly care for others providing essential care when it is needed the most. We are proud to celebrate a collective 207 years of service within our nursing team!

We would like to recognize an employee with 30 or more years of service: Joanne Salley, LPN, 35 years of service.
